This App is designed to provide real-time updates during the 2015 elections.
The APC Elections 2015 mobile app is carefully designed to cover all the 36 States of Nigeria including the FCT encapsulating the 774 Local Government and 8806 Wards in the country. It provides an avenue for the electorates and party agents not only to monitor but also obtain real-time updates during the elections. The app proffers the electorates the opportunity to share photos, videos and audios from there polling units and subsequently at their wards collation centers. Observed election results from all quarters of the elections from the Presidency to the State House of Assembly obtained from the ward collation center can also be shared through the app. The app also presents addresses of all the 8806 wards collation centers in Nigeria while educating the electorates on general election information and guidelines under the FAQs.
In line with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) call, advising electorates to come to the voting centers with cameras to capture events that unfold during the election exercise, this app has provided a depository for electorates both APC faithful and otherwise to upload these footages (images, audios and videos). The app is configured to handle footages of up to 30MB only. The app collects electorates observed election results from all the ward collation centers, analyze these results and provide the results in graphical charts while drilling down the results from state to local government area and ward level through its corresponding website (http://www.elections.org.ng).
Although, each app user is entitled to upload single observed results from his or her ward collation center, the app is capable and encourages more than one entry from each ward collation center from multiple app users. In a few cases where the app user is verified and assigned elevated user rights (Super User), he or she can upload various wards results but limited to one result per ward. This feature is provided to support party agents who have representative with non-android app compatible phones who can send the result to a single hub through SMS for upload. In case of mistake during the uploaded results, do not worry as the last uploaded results for the ward overrides the existing results provided by the app user.
