Chess Companion is an Android application targeted for chess players.
It combines a chess clock with the optional capabilities of taking chess notations which can be saved as PGN files after the game which is a unique feature.
You need a real chessboard because the application does not provide that, i.e. the application serves as the chess clock and paper & pen.
The chess clock can be configured for a set of different time settings that you normally use and easily selected before you start the game. Up to three periods are supported.
It has intentionally no fancy chess boards but the annotation is done by normal notation syntax in order to learn and prepare chess players for tournaments.
This is the first version of the application so please send comments and suggestions of features you want to have.
You need at least a WVGA display on your device in order to run this application.
The EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission is used for writing the PGN file to external storage.
The application is ad free.
