Board game for two players.
1. RULES OF THE GAME
Each player has 16 numbered game pieces, one color for each player, which are placed at random in the fixed initial position, on a 10x7 checkered board.
The aim is to remove the 16 pieces of the same color from the board. The first player to eliminate all his/her game pieces from the board wins the game.
Pieces can be removed from the board when they form a chain. A chain is formed by placing at least 3 pieces (no maximum) with consecutive numbers located in adjoining squares (side by side or diagonally). Each piece has to be next to the piece with the previous number, except for the first game piece of the chain.
Playing the game: During each turn, a player can:
- Move a piece, or
- Eliminate a created chain (just one), or
- Both things, always following the same order (move a game piece, eliminate a chain).
A player also can skip his/her turn.
Pieces can have two different movements:
- Moving to any other empty square next to the one where the piece is located (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally). With this movement, a piece can only move one square.
- Jumping over any other piece (of any color) to an empty square. Only one piece can be jumped with each jump, and it has to follow a straight lateral or diagonal line. If the location of the pieces allows it, several consecutive jumps can be carried out in the same turn, and it is possible to change direction with each jump
During each turn, it is only possible to make one movement or jump. It is not possible to land on the same square twice in a single turn. If a player cannot move any piece because they are blocked, nor remove a chain, he/she misses the turn.
It is not mandatory to remove a chain during the same turn when it is formed, or to remove all the pieces that are part of a chain (provided that at least 3 pieces with consecutive numbers are removed).
End of the game:
- A player removes all his/her pieces from the board (he/she wins the game).
- A player removes a chain leaving isolated pieces that cannot longer form a chain (he/she loses the game).
- No player removes a chain after 30 turns. The game ends up in a tie.
2. USING THE APP
- The player with the blue pieces always starts the game.
- To make a move tap the piece you are going to move and the square you are going to move to. If you are going to link several jumps, you must mark each one.
- To form a chain, tap the ‘Select Chain’ button and then tap the first and last piece of the chain.
- To finalize the movement and/or the removal of the chain, tap the ‘End of move’ button.
- When a piece is moved or a chain is removed, the pieces remain marked in another color to make it easier to follow the game, even though those boxes are really empty. The chain disappears completely when you tap a tile of any color.
- Before finishing the move, you can modify the movement and/or the selected chain by tapping the ‘Cancel’ button. But after tapping ‘End of move’, you can no longer go back.
- In order to mute the background music, tap the logo with the loudspeaker. To mute all sounds, tap it twice.
- If you tap the ‘Exit’ button, you will no longer be able to return to the same game.
