‘The Land’ is an under-development game similar (in some ways) to Ingress, but with many differences and unique features of its own – it’s most certainly not ‘just an Ingress clone’. This document does assume you are an Ingress player though - that’s the target market for initial testing.
Players are involved in an ongoing battle for control of a fantasy realm (‘The Land’) that overlaps geographically with our world, and that they access through their phones using GPS and a network connection. Players are gods of The Land, and influence events through placing buildings and units, moving units, winning control over regions, and destroying the buildings and units of other factions either directly using god-like powers, or indirectly using army-units.
