Events & Installations for the World Expo Reformation with Audio Guide
The Weltausstellung Reformation will take place in Lutherstadt Wittenberg from May 20 to September 10, 2017. The open-air exhibition is entitled "Tore of Freedom"-symbolically for the goals that were opened with the Reformation and brought new freedom.
As Luther questioned the living conditions of his time in 1517, current things will be discussed in 2017: globalization, youth, spirituality, ecumenism & religion, art & culture, justice, peace and preservation of creation. The topics are arranged in seven “torrios”. This not only creates content orientation, but also spatial on site. Installations, designed by students from various universities from Germany and Austria, invite you to discover and think in every goal area.
Over 80 national and international exhibitors are on site: churches from all over the world, international institutions, organizations, initiatives and many cultural workers show their current view of the Reformation. An extensive program is offered on large and small stages in the city. Podia and event tents are invited to discussions, debates, sessions and many others. In addition, the topic weeks, i.e. a focus on the content of the content per week, ensure highlights: from media to gender to Europe.
The audio guide integrated into the app leads free of charge through the Weltausstellung Reformation and the Lutherstadt Wittenberg. The voices of Margot Käßmann and Frank Arnold accompany the voices of Margot Käßmann and the sights on site.
